Sydney’s reputation as a powerhouse destination for global incentives was firmly cemented when Amway China returned to the Harbour City for the second time (the direct sell organisation has since returned again in 2017).
In 2011, Amway China decided to inspire and reward 8,300 of its top performers with another unforgettable experience in Sydney and an exciting component in regional New South Wales. The destination was more than up for the challenge, delivering a Hunter Valley Wine Country ‘Carnival’ event staged over several wineries.

- Corporate charity walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge raising A$140,000 to the ‘Freedom Wheels’ program
- Aussie beach fantasy-themed gala dinner at The Dome, Sydney Showground.

Managing the logistics of more than 8,000 people is no easy task. The first step in delivering an event of this size was to bring the group into Sydney in four waves over two weeks – ensuring all delegates were able to maximise their time in the city. Sydney’s capability in delivering seamless and unforgettable experiences was achieved through successful connections with customs, immigration, government agencies, traffic and transport authorities and local tourism industry.
Feedback from Amway China’s sales representatives showed they would recommend Sydney as a travel destination to their families and friends. Importantly, they felt inspired to achieve great results for Amway China once returning home.
Amway China’s return to Sydney was testament to the success of the previous event, the city and state’s strong and unique destination offering, and the robust and respectful relationship developed between BESydney and Amway China across many years of joint business.
