International Travel to Australia
Australia's international borders are now open to all fully vaccinated international travellers.
As the capital city of the state of New South Wales, international travel to Sydney is guided by the Australian Government, which oversees decisions for vaccinations and international borders; and the NSW Government, which is responsible for decisions related to public health measures and borders shared with other States and Territories. As such, international travellers should consult both sources for full information specific to travel into Sydney.
Reopening Borders
On 21 February 2022, the international border reopened to all fully vaccinated international travellers, following the gradual reopening under the Australian Government's National Plan.
Visit the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs site for full information on Australia's immigration and border arrangements during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
