Sydney showcased its revitalised attractions and experiences during a four-day famil program hosted by Business Events Sydney (BESydney) for international buyers from China.

Held in November 2023 as part of Business Events Australia's signature annual showcase, Dreamtime, the pre-famil trip in Sydney aimed to highlight both fresh and classic experiences for corporate and incentive buyers from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.

Program Highlights

The itinerary in Sydney and Regional NSW, featured a diverse range of activities, including: 

  • Enjoying lunch on the Hawkesbury River at King Tide Café 
  • Shucking oysters at Sydney Oyster Farm 
  • Dinner and a showcase at the International Convention Centre Sydney 
  • Accommodation at the newly opened W Hotel Sydney 
  • Scaling the heights for a 360-degree view of Sydney with BridgeClimb 
  • Dining at Sake Restaurant in The Rocks 
  • Indulging in spa treatments at Sofitel Darling Harbour 
  • Savouring dinner at Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant 
  • Embarking on a thrilling Harley motorbike ride to Bondi with Wild Ride Australia 
  • A private lunch cruise on Sydney Harbour following a visit to the 'Sculptures by the Sea' exhibition 
  • Networking at Bangarra Dance Theatre 
  • Dining at Silks Restaurant, Crown Sydney 
  • Guided tours of the Art Gallery of NSW and the Sydney Opera House 
  • Lunch at the new Midden Restaurant at the Sydney Opera House. 

Lyn Lewis-Smith, CEO of BESydney, expressed excitement about the opportunity to showcase a fresh perspective of the city to Chinese delegates.
